RAGU

Ragu is such a special little guy and so sweet. He’s always in your face and looking for food and attention. He needs to learn how to not jump up on people, which was kind of cute whne he was little but will not be so much fun as he matures! Ragu is Sky’s twin brother. He was the weakest of all the kids when he arrived, but has done really well. His mother, Star, and herd-mate, Moon, were both used as dairy goats at a small hobby farm which meant that their babies were taken away from them after a couple of days. Only when they came here months later were they reunited. Ragu, along with Moon, Star, Sky, Raury, and Socks were going to be euthanized as recommended by a vet. This was because Moon tested positive for goat virus called CAE. Many goats live long and happy lives with CAE and many remain asymptomatic. At present none of the goats at Lailo Farm Sanctuary are displaying any symptoms which can include arthritis, pneumonia, mastitis, and encephalitis (in kids).
