Louie arrived at the sanctuary in February 2021. Upon arrival he was seriously underweight, filled with intestinal worms and had mange. The scabs on his legs suggested he had lived on a hard surface with little bedding. When he first arrived, he was nervous around people but now he enjoys getting scratches behind his ears and on his tummy. Louie is a very enthusiastic pig with lots of energy. He comes running to see visitors and is very curious. Louie is the largest of the pigs at the sanctuary. Louie's (sometimes reluctant) night time snuggle buddy is Hank.
