Moon is such a beautiful animal. When she arrived here she was quite wary of people but has learned to trust us and now looks forward to getting brushed and given attention. She is the boss goat in her herd and makes sure she gets the first treat! Moon and Star were both used as dairy goats at a small hobby farm which meant that their babies were taken away from them after a couple of days. Only when they came here months later were they reunited. Moon, along with Star, Ragu, Sky, Raury, and Socks were going to be euthanized as recommended by a vet. This was because Moon tested positive for goat virus called CAE. Many goats live long and happy lives with CAE and  remain asymptomatic. At present none of the goats are displaying any symptoms and we hope they they continue that way.
