RAGU

RAGU

   SPONSOR NOW

Ragu arrived at the sanctuary in September 2018 with his sister Sky, mother Star, and three other goats, Moon, Raury and Socks. Star and Moon were both used as dairy goats so their babies had been taken away from them at only a couple of days old. At LAILO, months later, they were all reunited. This entire goat herd was nearly euthanized because one of them tested positive for a goat virus called CAE. Though CAE can cause arthritis, pneumonia, chronic mastitis and weight loss, many goats can live long and happy lives with the virus. Some, including Ragu, remain asymptomatic. Ragu is a very in-your-face, affectionate goat. He's the tallest and most boisterous member of the herd.
