LAILO FARM SANCTUARY

Raury is very sweet and friendly. He is Socks’ twin brother. His mother, Moon, and herd-mate, Star, were both used as dairy goats at a small hobby farm which meant that their babies were taken away from them after a couple of days. Only when they came here months later were they reunited. Raury, along with Moon, Star, Sky, Ragu and Socks were going to be euthanized as recommended by a vet. This was because Moon tested positive for goat virus called CAE. Many goats live long and happy lives with CAE and many remain asymptomatic. At present none of the goats at Lailo Farm Sanctuary are displaying any symptoms which include arthritis, pneumonia, mastitis, and encephalitis (in kids).
